1971 Cornell Heavyweight Varsity Crew at the IRA

After winning only one race all season and finishing ninth at the Eastern Sprints, the 1971 Cornell crew made it the finals of the IRA Intercollegiate Rowing Association championships.  Unexpectedly, the surprised Cornell coxswain describes how he had to improvise how to row a holding race.
